What do we owe our objects?

In understanding the relationship between our selves and our material objects, the concept of stewardship is fundamental. Your body, your home, your belongings, your bank account, your investments, etc. are all bestowed upon you by some form of civil agreement. Your rights to them are enforced by various political and social entities. This agreement and enforcement taken together constitute a privilege which implies a convivial stance towards use -- how can you use your objects for the benefit of yourself, and the benefit of all (how do we define "benefit"?).

And how might we redefine our laws to ensure this relationship between ownership and use? Join me (Chris Bisignani) for a discussion on the fundamentals of property, through the lens of object-oriented ontology.
